Crucial Werks is an independent entertainment studio creating original films, books, music and cinematic experiences.
Every project begins with story. Every medium serves the story. We create work built around compelling characters, emotional truth and ideas that remain after the credits.
Founded by writer, director and producer John Russel, Crucial Werks is a home for original ideas and the craft required to bring them to life.
The medium can change. The commitment to character and story does not.
Ideas matter when they become work. We build with focus, resourcefulness and intention.
The goal is work that stays with the audience after the final frame, page or note.
Technology changes. Platforms change. Great stories don't.Crucial Werks
